2006 REUNION
The 2006 Lyons High School All-Class Reunion was held on June 4, 2006, at the Tri-Valley School All-Purpose Room with a potluck lunch. Honored classes this year were the students from 1930-1931 for 75 years; 1945-1946 for 60 years; and 1955-1956 for 50 years.
A class roll call was made paying special attention to our honored classes. There were 27classes represented with 131(or more) people attending; 103 were alumni. The oldest alumnus attending was Agnes (Schjodt) Larson, a 93 year young graduate from the class of 1930, who had traveled from Arlington, SD, to attend. She was the only one from her class attending. It appears that Jerry Thompson (1956) and his wife Carol from Chino Hills, CA, traveled the furthest to attend. It seemed to have been a toss-up of who had the most fun. There was enough food to feed an entire “Thrash Run” (and GOOD I may add). There are many good cooks who graduated from Lyons so one can say that the Home-Ec class was probably the best received and remembered.
When everyone had eaten, we made a plea for someone to accept where we left off. The new members of the Reunion Committee for 2008 are: Pat Nelson Buechler (1959), Rosemary Byg Mohrhausen (1964), Doris Osvog Bushard (1963), Ruth Rehn (1962), and Ila Rehn Ahrendt (1960). All our hats are off to this fine crew. We all gave a free will offering to get them on their way.
We then had a chance to mingle with friends and classmates, some of whom we hadn’t seen for nearly 50 years or more.
We are looking forward to 2008 when we can meet again. It will be interesting to see that everyone else has gotten so much older while we all stay the same.

2004 REUNION
The school reunion held on June 6, 2004, reunited former Lyons High School classmates for a potluck dinner at the Tri-Valley School Multi-Purpose Room. Honored classes this year were students from the years 1928-1929 for 75 years, 1943-1944 for 60 years; and 1953-1954 for 50 years.
Vinette Byg Skow led in devotions and remembrances for those who had passed away since the last reunion, followed by a delicious potluck meal. Monetary donations were requested, and a total of $262.50 was collected. After eating, the honored classes were introduced, followed by a roll call of classes during the years 1927-1967, which showed 93 former students present. There were also 41 guests registered. The oldest class member present was from the class of 1933.
The committee of Marilyn Osvog VanLiere, Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer, Joey Peterson Berge, and Norman Varns and all the others who helped throughout the day were thanked.
A sing-along was led by Paul Johnson and Doris Bushard.
The committee for the 2006 reunion will be LeRoy Aasen, chairman; Eldon Ellingson, vice chairman; Sharon Soukup Bosler, and Carol Johnson Carlson.

The school reunion held on June 2, 2002 reunited former Lyons High School classmates for a potluck dinner at the Tri-Valley School Multi-Purpose Room. Honored classes this year were students from the years 1926-1927 for 75 years; 1941-1942 for 60 years; and 1951-1952 for 50 years.
Vinette Byg Skow led in devotions followed by a delicious potluck meal. After eating, all the former school cheerleaders led the group in singing the school fight song. Lester Fossum was celebrating his 90th birthday and so the group sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
Reunion chairman Marvin Wieman read the list of 26 former students who had passed away since the last reunion. Honored classes were introduced, followed by a roll call of classes during the years 1923 - 1967, which showed 103 former students present.
Chairman Wieman thanked the members of his committee who consisted of Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer, Marilyn Osvog Van Liere, and Pearl Voelker Miller, and all the others who helped throughout the day.
The committee for the 2004 reunion will be Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer and Marilyn Osvog Van Liere as co-chairpersons, Joey Peterson Berge, and Norman Varns.

2000 REUNION
Our school reunion on June 4, 2000, was very successful, and I believe that everyone present enjoyed their afternoon. According to our registration and roll call figures, there were 118 former students in attendance, 5 teachers, and at least 52 guests, for a grand total of at least 175. Glenn Johnson had published a Lyons High School booklet with class rosters and pictures which was on sale during the day.
The 2000 Reunion Committee consisted of Glenn Johnson, Darlene Johnson Fletcher, and Joan Kelly Eitrheim, assisted by others throughout the day. They were thanked for all the work they had done.

2004 REUNION
The school reunion held on June 6, 2004, reunited former Lyons High School classmates for a potluck dinner at the Tri-Valley School Multi-Purpose Room. Honored classes this year were students from the years 1928-1929 for 75 years, 1943-1944 for 60 years; and 1953-1954 for 50 years.
Vinette Byg Skow led in devotions and remembrances for those who had passed away since the last reunion, followed by a delicious potluck meal. Monetary donations were requested, and a total of $262.50 was collected. After eating, the honored classes were introduced, followed by a roll call of classes during the years 1927-1967, which showed 93 former students present. There were also 41 guests registered. The oldest class member present was from the class of 1933.
The committee of Marilyn Osvog VanLiere, Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer, Joey Peterson Berge, and Norman Varns and all the others who helped throughout the day were thanked.
A sing-along was led by Paul Johnson and Doris Bushard.
The committee for the 2006 reunion will be LeRoy Aasen, chairman; Eldon Ellingson, vice chairman; Sharon Soukup Bosler, and Carol Johnson Carlson.

2002 REUNION
The school reunion held on June 2, 2002 reunited former Lyons High School classmates for a potluck dinner at the Tri-Valley School Multi-Purpose Room. Honored classes this year were students from the years 1926-1927 for 75 years; 1941-1942 for 60 years; and 1951-1952 for 50 years.
Vinette Byg Skow led in devotions followed by a delicious potluck meal. After eating, all the former school cheerleaders led the group in singing the school fight song. Lester Fossum was celebrating his 90th birthday and so the group sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
Reunion chairman Marvin Wieman read the list of 26 former students who had passed away since the last reunion. Honored classes were introduced, followed by a roll call of classes during the years 1923 - 1967, which showed 103 former students present.
Chairman Wieman thanked the members of his committee who consisted of Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer, Marilyn Osvog Van Liere, and Pearl Voelker Miller, and all the others who helped throughout the day.
The committee for the 2004 reunion will be Maxine Johnson Boxdorfer and Marilyn Osvog Van Liere as co-chairpersons, Joey Peterson Berge, and Norman Varns.
According to the registration and roll call figures, there were 103 former students in attendance and at least 26 guests, for a grand total of at least 129. Former students attending were:

2000 REUNION
Our school reunion on June 4, 2000, was very successful, and I believe that everyone present enjoyed their afternoon. According to our registration and roll call figures, there were 118 former students in attendance, 5 teachers, and at least 52 guests, for a grand total of at least 175. Glenn Johnson had published a Lyons High School booklet with class rosters and pictures which was on sale during the day.
The 2000 Reunion Committee consisted of Glenn Johnson, Darlene Johnson Fletcher, and Joan Kelly Eitrheim, assisted by others throughout the day. They were thanked for all the work they had done.
